Assistance Levels
Understanding Assistance Levels will help you to make the right choice.
Walk in baths are suitable for those who have difficulty in raising or lowering themselves into a conventional bathing position but are otherwise mobile. At the other end of the scale are powered baths that facilitate lifting, traversing and lowering. In the case of Hi-Lo models the patient is not lowered - instead, the bath is raised so that the caregiver has a more comfortable and ergonomically sound working position.
Since finding the right degree of assistance is crucial we have designated seven levels. Within each level individual models offer additional features, but this initial classification indicates the best starting point.
